Using Bluetooth (available on selected models)

The Bluetooth function allows you to get connected to various devices
and services that support Bluetooth transmission. You can connect
wirelessly without the need for data cables when printing documents,
synchronizing your Personal Information Management (PIM) data with
your Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or another Personal Computer
(PC), mobile phone or even sharing a network connection.
Bluetooth is available on selected models.
When you launch your Joybook for the first time and complete the initial
Windows Vista setup, take the following step if you see the screen below.
Simply click Ask me again later, Don't show this message again for this
device, or Next. The installation of the Bluetooth driver will run
automatically in the background. This process takes 5 minutes
approximately.

Connecting to a Bluetooth device

1. Make sure the Wireless button
• If the Wireless button is "ON", the indicator may light up in blue, amber,
or purple, depending on the on/off status of Bluetooth and WLAN. Refer
to "Indicators" on page 11 for details.
• If the Wireless button is "OFF", the indicator goes off. And you will not
be able to use the <Fn> + <F12> hotkey combination to switch
Bluetooth/WLAN on and off.
2. Press the <Fn> + <F12> hotkey combination several times until
Bluetooth is "ON".

3. Turn on the power of your Bluetooth device and activate its Bluetooth
function. You also need to make your Bluetooth device "Discoverable".
• For details about how to activate the device's Bluetooth function, please
refer to its documentation.
• The maximum effective range of connection between your Joybook and
the Bluetooth device is 10 meters.
4. Right-click on the Bluetooth icon
the lower right corner of the desktop, and then click Add a Bluetooth
Device to launch the wizard.
5. If your Bluetooth device is already turned on and discoverable, place a
check mark in the My device is set up and ready to be found checkbox,
and then click Next.
