U S I N G T H E C O M B I N E D M I C R O WAV E + G R I L L F U N C T I O N T O C O O K
This setting is ideal for all those dishes which have to be "au gratin" or must be given a certain colour.
You must keep the following in mind.
• Do not spunkle with seasonings in general (use only 1/2 cup of water to keep meat tender).
• Turn roasts and large cuts of meat over when they are half-cooked.
• If, while the cooking is in progress, the top surface of the foodstuff is sufficiently browned before
the set time has elapsed, push the Start/Clear button (10) to re-set the time remaining for
microwaves only. To check on the progress of the cooking itself, open the oven door. Always be
careful to wear padded gloves made for oven use because the heating element is hot. The act of
opening the door will interrupt the operations of both the microwaves and the grill. To resume the
cooking, all you have to do is close the oven door and push the Start button (16).
• In cooking with the combined grill function, do not pre-heat the oven and do not operate the oven
if there are no foodstuffs in it.
