    Operating Your Air Conditioner To obtain the best possible results from your air conditioner, it is important that you operate it properly. This section tells you how to set the controls and how to direct the cooled air. Starting your air conditioner Fire Hazard -Do not use an extension cord.

Move the tabs in the direction you want the air to flow (right, left, or straight ahead). A tab in the center of the louver area (on some models) adjusts the airflow up or down.
