Sound controls

■ Night listening mode

When night listening mode is activated, high volume
output is softened and low volume output raised to an
audible level. This is useful for watching your favorite
action movie without disturbing others at night.
– Press NIGHT on the remote control to activate the
night listening mode.
Playback continues at a more even volume and

" appears in the display panel.

– To restore the volume, press NIGHT again.
Playback continues with the full dynamic range of
surround sound, and "
NIGHT OFF
display panel.
Notes
– The night listening mode and the music enhancer
cannot be activated at the same time.
– When the CD upsampling function is activated (or
a disc recorded at the sampling rate of 96 kHz is
played back), night listening mode is not available.

■ Adjusting the treble/bass level

The TREBLE (high tone) and BASS (low tone) features
enable you to define the sound-processor settings.
1 Press TREBLE or BASS on the remote control.
2 Within three seconds, press VOLUME (+/–) to adjust
the treble or bass level (-6dB to +6dB, in 1dB
increments).
If the volume control is not used within three
seconds, it will resume its normal volume control
function.

■ Adjusting the volume level

Use the VOLUME control (or press VOLUME (+/–) on
the remote control) to increase or decrease the volume
level.
