DVD setup menu options
[TRUE LIFE]
Adjust the intensity of the picture details. A positive value
enables you to reproduce the minute signals of video
sources.
This function is only available for progressive scan (using
the component video jacks) and HDMI output.
You can adjust the value from 0 to 5.
1 Select [ADV PICTURE] in [VIDEO SETUP PAGE].
2 Press
/ to highlight [TRUE LIFE], then press

3 Press
/ to select a setting and press ENTER to
confirm.
[DVI OUTPUT RANGE]
Set the DVI output range to match the connected
component. This function is only available when you
connect the DVD receiver to an DVI-D-compatible
component via the HDMI terminal.
1 Select [ADV PICTURE] in [VIDEO SETUP PAGE].
2 Press
/
to highlight [DVI OUTPUT
RANGE], then press
ENHANCED
Select this if black and white in the image is not
distinct.
STANDARD
Select this if you cannot see the correct image when
you select [ENHANCED].
3 Press
/ to select a setting and press ENTER
to confirm.
Progressive function
The progressive scan display present 60 complete frames
per seconds, rather than 30 frames per second of interlaced
scanning (ordinary normal TV system). With nearly
double the number of lines, progressive scan offers higher
picture resolution and eliminates bothersome motion
artifacts those jagged edge on moving objects.
Note
Before enabling the progressive scan function, you must
ensure:
1 Turn on your TV progressive scan function (refer
to your TV owner's manual).
2 You have connected the DVD receiver to your TV
using Y P P (see "Connecting a TV" on
B R
page 14).

Select this to disable progressive scan function.

Select this to enable progressive scan function.

– If a blank/distorted TV screen appears, wait for 15
seconds for auto recovery to activate.

If you are changing the setting to

This setting allows you to toggle the output of the video
signal between RGB (on SCART) and Y Pb Pr (YUV).
