power + wire to terminal 3 (12V), and the common, ground or – DC wire to 5 (COM) on jack
JX3. Remove the short circuit wire between '4' and '5' (i.e. 'IR' and 'COM'), connecting the
photocell as shown in Fig 14. Attach the normally closed wire to IR and the other common
normally closed wire to 5 (COM). These signal wires are not polarized so they can be
interchanged without issue. Consult your device manufacturer's documentation for details.
