Use only compatible Reduced Size MultiMediaCards
(RS-MMC) with this device. Other memory cards, such as
Secure Digital (SD) cards, do not fit in the memory card slot
and are not compatible with this device. Using an
incompatible memory card may damage the memory card
as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible
card may be corrupted.
Keep all memory cards out of the reach of small children.
Press
, and select
Tools
> Memory. You can use a
compatible memory card as extra storage space. It is also
good to regularly back up the information in the device
memory to a compatible memory card. The information
can be restored to the device later.
You cannot use a memory card if the door of the memory
card slot is open.
Important: Do not remove the memory card in the
middle of an operation when the card is being accessed.
Removing the card in the middle of an operation may
damage the memory card as well as the device, and data
stored on the card may be corrupted.
To back up information from device memory to a
compatible memory card, select
mem.
To restore information from a compatible memory card to
the device memory, select
Options
Options
>
Backup phone
>
Restore from
card.
Tip! To rename a memory card, select
Memory card
name.

Format a memory card

When a memory card is reformatted, all data on the card
is permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied preformatted and others
require formatting. Consult your retailer to find out if you
must format the memory card before you can use it.
To format a memory card, select
card. Select
Yes
to confirm. When formatting is complete,
enter a name for the memory card, and select OK.
