FOR CAR STEREO COMPONENTS
HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY
Kenwood U.S.A. Corporation ('Kenwood') warrants this
product for a period of one (1) year from the date of original
purchase.
WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS
NOT COVERED
Except as specified below. this warranty covers all defects in
materialandwmkmanship in Kenwood car stereo co~nents.
The following are not covered by the warranty:
1 Any product whk:h is not distributed in the U.S.A. by
Kenwood
or
which is not purchased in the U.S.A from an
authorized Kenwood car stereo dealer o r an automobile
dealer, unless the product is purchased through the U.S.A
Military Exchange Service.
2. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced.
mcx1ilied or removed.
3. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from:
a. Any shipment of the product (claims must be presented
to the carrier).
b. Installation or removal of the product.
c. Accident, eels of nature, misuse, abuse, neg~f.
unauthorized product modification or failure to follow
instructioos supplied with the product.
d. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized
by Kenwood
e. Any other cause which does not relate to a product
defect.

This warranty is enforceable only by the original purchaser.
WHAT WE WILL PAY FOR
We will pay for all labor and material expenses for covered
items. Payment of shipping charg es is discussed in the next
section of this warranty.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY
SERVICE
If your KENWOOD product ever needs service:
1. Take orship itto any KENWOOD Authorized Service Center
in the U.S.A. along with & complete description of the
problem. (if you are uncertain as to whether a Service Center
is authorized, please calf 1-800-KENWOOD fort he nearest
Service Center. 1-800-536-9663).
2. Although you must pay any shipping charges if it is necessary
to ship the product for warranty service, we will pay the return
shipping charges if the repairs are covered by the warranty
within the United States
3. Whenever your units are taken or sent for warranty service.
you must include a copy of the original dated sales receipt
as proof of warranty ccverage.

OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR

KENWOOD E LE C TRONICS CANADA INC. (hereinafter called
'KENWOOD' ), gives the following written warranty to the
original customer of e ach

Kenwood product distributed in
Canada by KENWOOD and purchased from a dealer authorized
by KENWOOD.
KENWOOD warrants that each new Kenwood product, under
normal use, is free from any defects, subject to the terms and
conditions set forth below. If a defect should occur within the
warranty period, repairs will be nnade free of charge for parts
and ~bour w hen such defects are determined by KENWOOD
or its' auth o rized service centres to be a ttrib u tab le to faulty
materials o r wor~manship at lirre o f man ufacture. P lease
con tact KENWOOD to confirm if a dealer or serv ice centre is
authorized by K ENWOOD.
WARRANTY PERIOD
Th is K enwood produc t is wananled for parts an d labou r for a
period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase, lease
or rental, except for products which are used in a professional
or commercial application, which are warranted for a period
of ninety (90) days for parts and labour and are subject to the
term s and conditions of the warranty.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty excludes:
(a) Products purchased in a foreign ccuntry or purchased in
Canada and taken to a foreign ccunfry
(b) Products purchased from a dealer not authorized by
KENWOOD.
(c) Products with the serial number defaced, altered or
m issing.
(d) P eriodic check-ups which do not disclose any defects
covered by this warranty.

person or party not authorized by K ENWOOD.
(g) Defects resulting from the use of parts or devices that do
not conform to KENWOOD specifications.
(h) Damage or deterio ration occurring to any exterior finis hes,
cosm etic parts. tape heads. adaptors, antennas. cables,
tapes, discs or faults or damage caused by detective or
leaking batteries.
( i) Defects or damage occurring durillQ shipping (claims should
be presented to the shipping company).
(j) P roduct voltage and /or line frequency ccnversions.
(k) P roduct Installation or removal charges.
TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE
Should your K en w ood product requirewarranty service, d eliver
it to any a uthorized KENWO OD service centre a nd present
the original copy of your bill of sale and this warra nty card
as proo l of warranty, or send your prodtJcl fully insured and
freight prepaid to the nearest a uthcrized KENWO OD service
centre. T o avoid possible shipping damage, make sure the
product is properly packed. Include a copy of your original
bill o1 sale a nd this warranty card as proof of warranty along
with your name, home and /or work telephone number(s),
a complete return address and a detailed description of the
fault(s). P roducts repaired within warranty will be returned
freight prepaid to destinations within Canada. The customer
is responsib le fo r all freight and related costs for the return o f
product(s) to destinations outside Canada.
