The detergent pod may not be working in the GE ZBD1870 dishwasher due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. Improper rack loading – Large dishware may block the detergent dispenser or wash arms. 2. Low inlet water temperature – Water may not be hot enough to dissolve the pod. 3. Low water pressure – Insufficient water flow can prevent proper detergent distribution. 4. Clogged air gap – A blocked air gap can affect water flow. 5. No air gap or high drain loop – These are needed for proper drainage and function. 6. Filter needs cleaning – A dirty filter can reduce cleaning performance. 7. Discolored detergent cup – If the cup is discolored, the pod may not dissolve; change to a detergent without colorant.
Check and correct these issues to improve detergent pod performance.

Dishwasher isn’t working properly. We found the problem—a flow control valve. There’s a part where a wire piece connects that we think is the issue. It’s the orange part.
