Ways to Charge Your
nüvi
• Use the vehicle power cable.
• Use the USB cable.
• Use an optional AC adapter cable.

Calibrating the Screen

If the touchscreen is not responding
properly, calibrate the touchscreen.
1. Turn off the nüvi.
2. Hold your finger on the middle of
the screen.
3. Turn on the nüvi, and immediately
slide the power button to the right
(lock).
4. Continue to hold your finger on
the screen for about one minute
until the calibration screen
appears.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

6. Slide the power button to the
middle to unlock the screen.
Or you can touch
Tools>Settings>Display>Touch
Screen, and select
adjust the sensitivity of the screen.
Locking Your nüvi
Garmin Lock is a theft-deterrent system
that locks your nüvi. Each time you turn
on the nüvi, enter the PIN or drive to the
security location.
1. Touch Tools >
Security.
2. Touch the button below
Lock.
3. Enter a 4-digit PIN, and drive to a
security location.
What is a Security Location?
Select a location you return to often,
such as your home, for your security
location. If the nüvi has satellite signals
and you are at the security location, you
