    Back panel Set Up Your Device You must first install and charge the battery to begin setting up your device. 1. Install the battery.  Hold the device upside down and with the back of the device facing you.  Push the battery compartment cover up with your thumbs and remove it from the device.

     As you enter digits, Smart Dial searches for contacts that match. If you see the number you want to dial, touch it to place the call immediately without entering the rest of the number. If you enter an incorrect digit, touch to erase it.
