Window Requirements
These insu-actions are for a stand_d
double-
hung window. You will need to modify them for
other types of windows.
The air conditioner
can be installed without
the accordion panels if needed to fit in a nalTow
window. See the window opening dimensions
at light.
All supporting parLsmust be secured to firm
wood,
masonry
or metal.
The elecl_ical outlet must be within reach of the
Ix)wer cord.

Storm Window Requirements
A storm window Frame will not allow the air
conditioner
m dlt towards the outside and will keep
it from draining properly. To adjttst for this, attach
a piece of wood to the stool.

THICKNESS: To determine
the thickness, place a
piece of wood on the stool to make it l/9" higher
than the top of the storm window li'ame.
Attach

with nails or screws provided

the installer.
Remove the Front Grille, if attached

Remove shipping tape if present. On modets
with a slide out air filler, remove it (_e the Care
and Cleaning section) and the screw behind it
(if present) that holds the gIille in place.
On models with a l_aiseup
inlet giille, lift it (see the
Cue and Cleaning section)
and remove the screw
behind it (if present) that
holds the grille in place.

Pull the bottom
grille corne_
out to release
the
lower tabs on each side.
NOTE: Do not pull the bottom edge toward you more
than 3" or you may damage the tabs of the grille.

Lift the grille up and off the top tabs.
