G Close-ups (Macro Mode)

Macro mode can be used for close-ups in AUTO, B, C, D, N, P, Q, and B modes (pp. 28–31).
Macro mode is automatically selected in P and Q modes; to select macro mode in AUTO, B, C,
D, N, and B modes, press the selector left (G).
When macro mode is in eff ect, the camera focuses on subjects near the center of the monitor. Use the
zoom buttons to frame pictures.
To exit macro mode, press the selector left (G). Macro mode can also be cancelled by turning the
camera off or selecting another shooting mode.

Use of a tripod is recommended to prevent blur caused by camera shake.
