- Page 3 Installation and programming of an iOS application for use with a Total Control system is comprised of 5 steps: 1. Purchasing a Setup Code from URC 2. Registering the MRX Controller by associating it with the Setup code via URC’s Mobile site. 3. Adding the user interface (iPhone/iPad) to a room/zone(s) in URC Accelerator.
- Page 4 Purchasing the Setup Code Contact your local URC/Independent Sales Representative to purchase an iOS Setup code(s). Once purchased, an email will be sent from the URC Sales Team giving further instructions on activating and using the code. Although the URC Order number and PO information are not necessary for activation, they are provided for future reference when referring to this order.

Once logged in to the URC Mobile site, the home page (My Setup Codes) will list all of the Setup Codes issued to your company. As a best practice, using the memo field to describe the project will easily allow you to see which codes have not yet been assigned.

To make sure the number is typed correctly, it may be wise to open Accelerator and view the URC Devices tab of Step #6 to see the MAC ID of the MRX unit. - Page 8 In order for the iOS application to work with a Total Control system, it must be added to a room, or rooms, within URC Accelerator. To use an iPad app, the iPad device must be added, while to use an iPhone or iPod Touch, the iPhone device must be added.
- Page 9 Total Control Mobile Total Control Mobile Configuring the iOS Interface in Accelerator Once an iOS device is added to a Total Control project, it must be configured to work with that project. Additional configuration options include the ability to add a level of protection or limit the use of the Rooms Module.
- Page 10 Setup Code Use this field to enter the Setup Code that was included in the original email (sent by the URC Sales Team), or that can be found on the URC Mobile site. Remember, this code must be activated from URC’s Mobile site to work in your project.
- Page 11 Total Control Mobile Total Control Mobile Rooms Module One of the core features of a Total Control system is the automatic creation of a Rooms Module. Selecting this feature will open the Rooms Menu and allow the user to see the Status of any of the other (unhidden) rooms within the Total Control project.
