TruCluster Server supports the following Fibre Channel hardware. For more information on the supported Fibre Channel
solutions, see the TruCluster Server Release Notes and the Cluster Hardware Configuration manual. For a list of supported
Fibre Channel switches, see the
SAN Product Support Tables for the SAN Design Reference Guide
http://www.hp.com/products/StorageWorks/san/documentation.html.
TruCluster Server supports Fibre Channel arbitrated loop for clusters with a maximum of two members only. The KGPSA-CA
is the only Fibre Channel adapter supported for arbitrated loop configurations. The DS-SWXHB-07 seven-port Fibre
Channel hub is required to build an arbitrated loop configuration and is restricted to use with DS10, DS20, DS20E, and
ES40 systems. The other AlphaServers including the DS10L and ES45 systems are not supported for arbitrated loop.
The systems are connected to shared SCSI buses using an adapter from the following list. The TruCluster Server Cluster
Hardware Configuration manual and Release Notes provide more information regarding SCSI controller configuration,
respectively:
KZPSA - PCI to Fast Wide Differential SCSI-2 adapter
KZPBA-CB/CC - PCI to UltraSCSI wide differential adapter
1
KZPEA-DB
- LVD Multimode U3 PCI SCSI Adapter
NOTE: KZPEA only supported for shared bus with one or two hosts. TruCluster V5.1B-1 Initial Patch Kit (IPK) is required.
NOTE:
NOTE:
NOTE:
TruCluster Server supports the following SCSI signal converters. The Cluster Hardware Configuration manual provides
information regarding supported SCSI signal converters configuration.
