Operation

$ POWER switch
OFF
: The switch must always be set to
the OFF position when the IR light is not
going to be used.
WIDE : It is recommended that the switch
be set to the WIDE position for IR shooting
at distances up to 10 or so meters (11 or
so yards).
It is recommended that the IR light on the
camera-recorder also be used for IR
shooting at distances up to 5 meters (up to
5 yards).
SPOT : It is recommended that the switch
be set to the SPOT position for IR shooting
at distances in excess of 10 or so meters
(11 or so yards).
At this setting, a beam of infrared light can
be emitted up to distances of about 30
meters (32 yards). However, the area
exposed to the beam of light will be
reduced.
The recommended IR shooting distances are
ones which apply when the AG-DVC30 (or
AG-DVC32) camera-recorder is used.
$ POWER lamp
This lights when the POWER switch is set to
either WIDE or SPOT position.
$ IR CTRL dial
This dial is used to adjust the intensity of the
infrared beam of light.
Adjust the beam intensity to suit the distance
and brightness of the subject.
