Integrated On/Off Remote
User's Guide
Operation
To operate, push the ON button to turn
the fireplace on, push the OFF button to
turn the fireplace off.
!
NOte: Ensure that the 3 Position
Switch on the product is set to the
remote control setting (refer to your
Owner's Manual for Manual Control
information).
Symptom
Remote does not operate unit.
Product turns on/off on its own.

Initialization
Follow these steps for remote control
initialization if required:

Disconnect power to the unit.
②
Set the 3 Position Switch to the
Remote position (refer to your
Owner's Manual for Manual Control
information).
③
Wait a minimum of five (5) seconds
and then re-acquire power to unit.
④
Within 10 seconds of re-acquiring
power, press the ON button located
on the remote control transmitter.
!
NOte: You will have only 10
seconds to perform this last step.
Failure to do so will result in these
steps needing to be followed again.
This will synchronize the remote control
transmitter and receiver.

Possible Cause
3 Position Manual Control Switch is
in incorrect position for remote use.
Remote lost communication to
fireplace.
Installed battery has depleted.
Remote receiver is defective.
Radio frequency interference.

Slide battery cover open on the
hand held transmitter

Correctly replace one (1) 12 Volt
(A23) battery in the battery
③
Close the battery
Solution
Move 3 Position Switch on the fireplace
to the Remote position. Refer to your
product's Owner's Manual for Manual Control
information.
Re-initialize remote to fireplace.
Replace battery.
