2 Hardware Connections This chapter explains the hardware connections required for live recording and playback using FWx, HDx, and VENUE MADI with Pro Tools. Redundant output connections and the required connec- tions for integrating a Pro Tools|HD interface are also explained.

VENUE MADI Connections VENUE MADI is connected to a Pro Tools|HD MADI interface using optical or coaxial cables. Separate input and output connections for sending and receiving audio are required between the VENUE MADI card and the HD MADI interface. HD MADI interfaces are connected to Pro Tools using Di- giLink cables.
