Starting the program
To listen to Digital Radio via computer, it must be turned on and connected to DR Box 1 via
USB cable. In this case, the display of DR Box 1 changes and shows only the preset head-
phones volume. The software can be started using the "DR Box" icon on the desktop or click-
ing "Start", "Programs" and "DR Box".
After starting the software, DR Box 1 shows once again the usual display. Please note that not
all functions of DR Box are available for operation with the PC.
Sound reproduction via PC
The headphone connection of DR Box 1 remains functional during operation via PC – you
could also connect your sound card here. But the additional cabling is unnecessary. DR Box
can receive the sound signal directly and in digital form via USB connection, which also al-
lows it to be recorded on the PC. To do so, simply select the "Settings" menu (the two gear-
wheels icon) and change the audio device from the name of your sound card to Direct Sound
and the name of your sound card. Emulated Direct Sound functions (indicated as "emulated")
should, however, not be used since they are not powerful enough and could slow down the
system.
