M e n u f u n c t i o n s

Camera

Note: Obey all local laws
governing the taking of
pictures. Do not use this
feature illegally.
You can take photos or record video
clips with the phone's built-in
camera. The main display of the
phone works as a viewfinder. The
camera produces pictures in JPEG
format and the video clips in H.263
(SubQCIF) format.
The camera uses shared memory, see
"Shared memory"
on page ix.
To take a photo
1. Press
Menu
and select Media,
Camera
and
Standard
Portrait
photo, or if the lighting
is dim for taking photos, select
Night
mode. If you want to add
the photo to a name or phone
number saved in contacts, select
Portrait
photo.
2. To take a photo, press Capture.
The phone saves the photo in the
Images
folder of the
menu.
3. Select
Back
to take another
photo, or press
the photo, or select, for example,
an option to rename the saved
photo, or send it via multimedia
message or via an IR connection.

Recording a video clip
Note: Obey all local laws
regarding video
transmission. Do not use
this feature illegally.
1. Press
Menu
and select Media,
Camera
and Video.
2. To start recording a video clip,
press Record. To pause the
recording, press
resume the recording, press
Continue.
3. To stop the recording, press Stop.
The phone saves the recording in
the
Video clips
Gallery
menu.
Press
Play
to view the recording,
or select, for example, an option
to delete or rename the saved
video clip, or send it as a
multimedia message or via an IR
connection.
Camera settings
Press
Menu
and select Media,
Camera
and Settings. Select an
option, for example, to define the
image quality, set the shutter sound
off or to define the title that will be
used when saving a photo.
