    Overview Thank you for purchasing a Focus Enhancements, ProxSys MA Series Media Archive Server. MA Series Media Archive Servers provide the ability to efficiently ingest video clips with their metadata from tapeless recording media into the MA server’s media archive. There, preview Flash clips are rendered and Blu-ray discs are burned for archiving.

    MA server. The Ingest process is controlled with the ProxSys Media Upload Utility access to the server. The MA server can ingest clips from local or networked hard drives and a variety of solid state media, such as P2, SxS Pro and Compact Flash (CF) cards.

    • Device watch (Auto Watch function) As each high resolution video file is uploaded, the MA server creates a preview Flash clip for that file. Each video clip, its preview file, and its associated metadata, are logged into the MA server’s media database.

    ProxSys Media Upload Utility Use the ProxSys Media Upload Utility to configure and initiate the MA server’s Ingest process. This utility may be installed in computers networked to the MA server and used to load ingest video from those computers.

    When a User starts the Media Upload Utility the appears. The first time a User starts the upload utility it is necessary to enter: Proxsys Address Enter only the server’s numerical address. The default is 10.11.11.11. Username Password The MA server ships with the default Username and Password.

    Because AUTO WATCH is an automated upload process, it is not possible to edit video clip metadata. The metadata is uploaded and logged into the MA server’s database in its original form. Watch Functions Are Active Only While Media Upload Utility Is Active Because AUTO WATCH is an upload utility function, it runs only when the utility is running.
