General problems

Problem
The display is dark.
The buzzer sounds
during a programme.
The following fault
message appears in
the display:
Salt reservoir cap
Please close it
The following fault
message appears in
the display:
Middle spray arm
blocked
or
Bottom spray arm
blocked
Possible cause
The display has
switched off
automatically to save
energy (Standby
mode).
The salt reservoir cap
has not been screwed
on correctly.
Items are blocking the
path of the middle or
the bottom spray arm.
The middle or bottom
spray arm jets are
blocked.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
Press any button.
Stand-by comes to an end
(see "Settings menu J,
Standby").
– Replace it, making sure that
it screws back on correctly.
If the salt reservoir cap has
come undone during a
programme you must also:
– Switch the dishwasher off
and then back on again
with the On/Off button s.
– Start the programme again.
Open the dishwasher door
and rearrange the items which
are obstructing the spray arm.
– Switch the dishwasher off
with the On/Off button s.
Then:
– Clean the spray arm. See
"Cleaning and care".
