    Introduction Thank you for purchasing the V15 Digital Camera. Everything you need to take quality digital photos and videos is included with your device. Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital camera.

    A Quick Look at your Digital Camera Inserting Batteries Open the camera‟s battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera and insert 2 new AAA alkaline batteries according to the polarity shown. Close the cover and press the Power/Menu button to power on the camera. After powering on the camera, if you want to make changes to the camera‟s default settings, please read the instructions of this manual.

    Warning: Do not remove the batteries before downloading the photos and videos from the camera. Doing so will erase everything in the camera’s memory. NOTE: It is recommend to download and save your photos and videos often in order not to lose them if the battery power becomes too low. Battery Capacity Once you have inserted your batteries properly and powered on your camera, an icon appears on the top right corner of your LCD screen, showing the amount of battery power available.

    Powering the Camera ON and OFF Press the Power/Menu button to turn the camera on. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for a few seconds again to turn it off. Note: The camera will auto power off after 60 seconds of inactivity. Camera Modes Your camera has three main modes: Photo Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture photos with your camera.

    Menu Navigation 1. Press the Power/Menu button to power on the camera. 2. Press the Power/Menu button again to enter the menu options. 3. Use the Up button to toggle between the menu options on the screen. 4. Use the Shutter button to select the different submenu features within each menu option.
  • Page 9 Photo Capture Once you have powered on your digital camera, this is the default mode of your digital camera. You can begin taking photos. Please refer the Capturing Photos section for more details. Self-Timer Mode 1. Press the Power/Menu button to power on the camera and enter Photo Capture mode by default.

  • Page 11 Photo Resolution The Photo Resolution menu allows you to choose the desired size of the images taken by your camera. Keep in mind that images with a higher resolution will also take up more of your camera‟s memory. Press the Power/Menu button to power on the camera and enter the Photo Capture mode by default.
  • Page 12 NOTE: At higher resolutions the pictures captured will be clearer but will take up more of the camera‟s memory. You will therefore be able to take fewer photos at higher resolution than at lower resolution. An indication of the number of photos that can still be captured for each resolution appears on the bottom right of the LCD screen once the picture is taken.

Low Quality (default mode) Frequency The options in the Frequency menu represent the frequency of the electrical current in fluorescent lighting sources in your locale. If your camera is set to a frequency that does not match your country‟s electric current, you may see waves on the images taken by your camera.
  • Page 14 Format You can use the Format Camera Memory menu to delete all of the content that is currently on your camera‟s memory. Keep in mind that formatting the memory will permanently delete all of the content on your camera‟s memory. 1.

    Capturing Photos When the digital camera is first powered ON, the camera will be in Photo Capture Mode by default. The Photo Capture mode allows you to capture pictures with your digital camera. Taking Individual Photos 1. Compose your shot using the LCD screen. Direct the camera at the scene you would like to capture.

    Capturing Video The Video Capture Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camera. When the camera is first powered ON, the camera will be in Photo Capture Mode. Press the Up button once to access the Video Capture Mode. 1.

Press the Up button to toggle between the Delete Single File options. Press the Power/Menu button to confirm your selected option. Delete All Files Press the Up button to select and view the image (photo or video) you would like to delete.

    On PC and Macintosh: Click the “I accept the terms of this license agreement” and then click “Next” to continue. On PC only: Let the “Vivitar Experience Image Manager” installer create the folder to where the program will be installed, and then click “Install”.

    Connecting your Camera to the Computer Use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect your camera to your computer. Your camera will automatically turn on. The first time you connect the device to the computer you will have to wait a few moments until the computer recognizes the device.
