Accessing the Look-up Service

The Gracenote CDDB" Music Recognition Service
database that contains artist, album and track title information for
millions of CDs. If your Akurate Music Server is configured to connect
to an Internet Service Provider*, or uses an Ethernet connection, it can
access the Gracenote CDDB Service. Artist, album and track title
information will be shown in the Linntek Control Utility database panel.
Ethernet (Broadband/ADSL) connection

• Right-click on the blue bar at the top of the Linntek Control
Utility screen.
• Click C C o o n n f f i i g g u u r r a a t t i i o o n n .
• Select the C C o o n n n n e e c c t t i i o o n n T T y y p p e e tab.
• Select the E E t t h h e e r r n n e e t t option.
• Select the E E t t h h e e r r n n e e t t S S e e t t t t i i n n g g s s tab.
• Select the desired mode and enter the necessary Internet
settings.
• Click O O K K .
If you are using an Ethernet connection your Akurate Music Server
can be further configured to automatically access the Gracenote
CDDB Service when a disc is inserted.

• Install the modem as per the documentation supplied by the
manufacturer.
• Right-click on the blue bar at the top of the Linntek Control
Utility screen.
• Click C C o o n n f f i i g g u u r r a a t t i i o o n n .
• Select the C C o o n n n n e e c c t t i i o o n n T T y y p p e e tab.
• Select the M M o o d d e e m m option.
• Select the A A c c c c o o u u n n t t S S e e t t t t i i n n g g s s tab.
• Enter the telephone number you use to connect to your Internet
Service Provider.
• Enter the user name and password you use to log-on to your
Internet Service Provider.
• Click O O K K .
* Your Internet Service Provider must accept dial-up networking
connections.
N N o o t t e e : :
The Akurate Music Server has been factory configured for connection
by external dial-up modem to UK-ONLINE, should you wish to use
their service (the pre-configured telephone number, user name and
password are not shown). Entering information for your preferred
Internet Service Provider will overwrite the factory configuration.
