Tires
Neverexceed the maximum inflation pressureshownon the sidewall of tire.
The recommendedoperating tire pressure is:

Battery

If removing the battery, disconnectthe NEGATIVE (Black)wire from its
terminalfirst, followed bythe POSITIVE (Bed)wire. Whenre-installing
the battery, alwaysconnectthe POSITIVE (Bed)wire to itsterminal first,
[fo owed bythe NEGAT M E(Back)w re.
JumpStarting
Neverjump start a damagedor frozen battery. Becertain the vehiclesdo not
touch,and ignitions areoff. Donot allow cableclampsto touch.
Connect p ositive(+) cableto positivepost(+) of yourtractor'sdischarged
battery.
2.
Connect theotherend ofthecabletothe(positive +) postofthejumperbattery.
3.
Connect the second cable(negative -) to the otherpostof thejumper
battery.
4.
Connect the otherendofthe negative cableto the engineblockofthe
tractor,away from the battery.Attachto anunpaintedpartto assure agood
connection.
If the jumperbattery is installed on avehicle(i.e.car,truck),do NOT start
the vehicle'senginewhen jump starting your tractor.
5.
Startthe tractor(asinstructed earlierinthissectionof thismanual).
6.
Setthe tractor'sparkingbrakebefore removing the jumpercables, i n reverse
orderofconnection.
Charging
Batteriesgiveoff an explosivegaswhile charging. Chargethe battery in a
[well
ventilated areaand keepawayfrom an openflame or pilot light ason a
l water heater,spaceheater,furnace,clothesdryeror othergasappliances.
Whenchargingyourtractor's battery,useonly achargerdesignedfor 12Vlead-
acidbatteries.Read yourbatterycharger's Owner'sManualprior to charging
tourtractor's battery.Alwaysfollow itsinstructions andheeditswarnings.
Ifyourtractorhasnot beenput into useforanextended periodoftime,chargethe
batteryasfollows:
1.
Setyourbatterycharger t o delivera maxof 10amperes.
2.
Ifyourbatterycharger i sautomatic, c hargethe batteryuntilthe charger
indicates thatcharging iscomplete. I fthe chargerisnot automatic, c harge
for nofewerthaneighthours.
Fuse
One20AMPfuseisinstalledinyourtractor'swiring harness t o protectthe tractor's
electrical s ystemfromdamage caused byexcessive a mperage.
Ifthe electrical s ystem doesnot function,or yourtractor'senginewill not crank,
first check to becertainthat the fusehasnot blown.Itcanbefoundat the rearof
the unit, underneath the fenderlocatedbythe battery.
Alwaysusea fusewith the sameamperagecapacityfor replacement.
Cutting Blades
Shutthe engine off and remove ignitionkeybefore removing the cutting
blade(s) f or sharpeningor replacement. Protectyour handsby using heavy
gloveswhen graspingthe blade.
Periodicallyinspectthe bladeand/or spindlefor cracksor damage,
especiallyafter you've struckaforeign object. Donot operate the machine
until damagedcomponentsare replaced.
