Parking Brake
Tosetthe parkingbrake, f ully depress t he parkingbrake pedal.Movethe parking
brakeleverintothe ONposition.Release t he parkingbrakepedalto allowthe
parkingbraketo engage.
Torelease the parkingbrake, d epress t he parkingbrakepedal a ndmovethe
parkingbrakeleverout of the ON positionandintothe OFF position.
flOTE: T heparkingbrakemustbesetif the operator leaves the seatwith the engine
runningor the enginewill automatically shutoff.
Throttle/chokeControl Lever
Thethrottle/choke controlleverislocated onthe right sideof the
tractor'sdashpanel.Thislevercontrols the speed of the engine and,
whenpushed all the wayforward,the choke controlalso.When
setinagivenposition,thethrottle will maintaina uniformengine
speed.
IM PORTANT: Whenoperatingthe tractorwith the cutting
deckengaged, b ecertainthatthe throttle leverisalwaysinthe
FAST (rabbit)position.
Ignition Switch
Theignitionswitchis activated to startthe engine.Insertkey
into the ignitionswitchandturn clockwise to the START position.
Release t he keyinto the ONpositiononceenginehasfired.
Tostopthe engine,turn the ignitionkeycounterclockwise to the
OFF position.See Figure 7.
Neverleavea running machineunattended.AlwaysdisengagePTO, m ove
shift leverinto neutralposition, set parkingbrake,stop engineand remove
keyto prevent unintended starting.

DeckLift Lever
Found on yourtractor'srightfender, t he decklift leverisusedto
change the heightof the cuttingdeck.Touse,movethe levertothe
left, thenplaceinthe notchbestsuitedforyourapplication.
PTO (Blade Engage) Lever
Found on the tractor'srightfender,the PT0(bladeengage) l ever
is usedto engage powerto thecuttingdeckorother(separately
available) a ttachments. T ooperate,movethe leverall the way
forward.Moving the leverall the wayrearwardintothe PT0 OFF
positiondisengages p owerto thecutting deck/attachment.
NOTE- ThePT0(bladeengage) l evermustbein the disengaged ( PT0
OFF) p ositionwhen startingthe engine.
CupHolder
Thetractor'scupholderislocated on the fenderto the left of the seat.

Thespeed controllever, l ocated on the left rearfender, c ontrolsthe groundspeed of
the lawntractoraswellasthe directionof travel.
Todriveforwardor inreverse, s lowlymovethe speed control l everto the desired "F"
forwardor"R" reverse speed.
Tostop,movethe speed controlleverto the "N" neutralposition.
Whenmowing,place the speed controlleverin
the "CuttingSpeed" position, o r aslowerforward
speed forthe bestresults.
flote: Donot usethe parkingparkingbrakepedal
to controlthe groundspeed ofthe lawntractor.
Alwaysusethe speed controlleverto slowthe
groundspeed of the lawntractor.Depressing the
parkingparkingbrakepedalwith the speed control
leverengaged aspartof regular o perationwill
resultinpremature wearof the drivebelt.
IMPORTANT: Donot attemptto change the
directionoftravelwhenthe tractorisinmotion.
Serious damage to the tractor'stransmission c ould
result.Always bringthe tractorto acomplete
stop before movingthe speed controlleverfrom
forwardto reverse or viceversa.
