Press the STATUS/EXIT button. The type of closedcaptions
you selected at step 3 will appearon the screen.

Abbreviations, symbols, and other
grammatical shortcuts are often
used in order to keep pace with the
on-screen a_tion. This does not indi-
cate a problem with the TV/VCR.
To cancel closed captions, follow
steps_-2 on page 49.At step 3,
press the REW(ind)/ _l button or
the IZFWD/I_ button to select OFF.
Press the STATUS/EXIT button.
