Control the camera's sensitivity to light. Higher
values can be used to reduce blur when lighting
is poor; note, however, that mottling may appear
in pictures taken at high sensitivities. If AUTO
is selected, the camera will adjust sensitivity
automatically in response to shooting conditions.
Settings other than AUTO are shown by an icon
in the display.

Choose the size at which still pictures are
recorded. Large pictures can be printed at large
sizes with no drop in quality; small pictures
require less memory, allowing more pictures to
be recorded.

Using the Menus: Shooting Mode
The number of pictures that can be taken at
current settings (pg. 96) is displayed to the top
right in the monitor.
Aspect Ratio
Pictures with an aspect ratio of 4 : 3 have the same
proportions as the camera display. Pictures with an
aspect ratio of 3 : 2 have the same proportions as a
frame of 35-mm film, while an aspect ratio of 16 : 9 is
suited to display on High Definition (HD) devices.

Image quality is not reset when the camera is turned
off or another shooting mode is selected.
