The wheels of the Fellowes DM17CS may not turn and make a loud noise due to a paper jam, especially if the SafeSense™ light remains on. The shredder may interpret this as a jam caused by the SafeSense™ feature being activated. To resolve this, unplug the shredder, remove and empty the bin, press and hold Reverse (R) to clear the jam, and wait 40 minutes for the motor to cool down if needed. Then reset the SafeSense™ feature.

To fix a Fellowes DM17CS shredder that only works on the right side due to a paper jam, follow these steps:
1. Check if the SafeSense™ light remains on. This may indicate a false jam. 2. Use the Override Switch to deactivate the SafeSense™ feature. 3. Clear any visible paper from the shredder entry. 4. Try feeding paper again to confirm if both sides now work.
If the issue continues, inspect for any remaining jammed material and remove it carefully.
