Video Resolution
You can select the resolution of video to be recorded on storage media.

Select the record mode by pressing the MODE button. _page 23
1. Touch the Menu (,__,,) tab -*"Video Resolution."
2o Touch the desired submenu item.
3. To exit the menu, touch the Exit (D) or Return (,_) tab.
, [HD]1080/50i (l_q): Records in the HD (1920x1080/50i) format.
[HD]720/50p ([]): Records in the HD (1280x720/50p) format.
• [SD]576/50p (F_q): Records in the SD (720x576/50p) format.
• "50i" indicates the camcorder will record in interlaced scan mode at 50 fields per second.
• "50p" indicales the camcorder will record in progressive scan mode at 50 frames per second.
• Recorded files are erlcoded wkh Variable Bit Rate (VBR). VBR is arl encoding system that automatk:ally
adjusts the bit rate according to the recording image.
• The available video recording time differs according to the selected vide() resolution.
Video Quality
You can select the quality of video to be recorded.

3. To exit the menu, touch the Exit (L_) or Return ([,) tab.
• Super Fine (_): Records videos at the super fine image quality.
• Fine (_): Records videos at the fine image quality.
• Normal ([_): Records videos at the normal image quality.
The higher the resolution is, the shorter the recording time becomes, on the other hand, the lower the
resolution, the longer the recording time.
