How to Set up Restrictions Using the MPAA Ratings: G. PG. PG-13. R. NC-17. X. NR
The MPAA rating system uses the Motion Picture Association ot America (MPAA) sysIcnl_ and its nlain application is for movies.
When the V-Chip lock is on, the TV will automatically block any programs that arc coded with objectionable ratings (either MPAA
or TV-Ratings).
1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the _ or v buttons to select "Setup", then press the ENTER_ button.
2. Press the _ or v buttons to select "V-Chip", then press the ENTER_ button.
The message "Enter PIN" will appear. Enter your4 digit PIN number.

The "V-Chip" screen will appear. Press the A or _ buttons to select "MPAA Rating",
then press the ENTER_ button.

The "MPAA Rating" screen will appear. Repeatedly press the _ or _ buttons to
select a particular MPAA category. Pressing the _ or _ buttons will cycle through
the MPAA categories:
'-G_" _3-Generat audience (no restdctions),
• PG: Parental guidance suggested.
• PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned.
• R: Restricted. Children under 17 should be accompanied bY an adult.
• NR: Notreted,
>- Allow all: Pressto unlock all TV ratings, / Block all: Pressto lockall TV ratings.
>- While a particular categoryis selected, press the ENTER_ button to activateit.
The " _" symbol will be displayed.Pressthe ENTERC ,_ button to block or unblock
the category.
The V-Chipwill automaticallyblockany categorythat is "more restdctive',
For example,if you blockthe "PG-13"category,then "R', "NC-17" and "X" will automatically
be blocked also,
Press the EXIT button to exit.
