Blocking Age-Based Ratings
You can automatically block all program ratings above a specified age-based
rating level. For example, if you only want your child to watch programs lhat
have a TV-G rating and lower (in other words, you ,,*,'ant tile child to vvatch
TV-G, TV-Y7, and TV-Y), then you need to block out other programming with
higher ratings.
To block programs with higher ratings:
1. First, determine tile lowest level rating you don't want tile child to walch
(see chart of age-based ratings on next page).
2. Press tile let_ and right arrow buuons to highlight tile Ratit_,4 field.
3. Press tile up and down arrow bu/tnns on tile relnnte tn scroll
through
tile
age-based rating limits. Keep scrolling until the rating corresponding with
tile lowest rating you do not want tile child to walch appears on the screen.
In tile example discussed above, you would scroll through tile Ratin,_4 Iield
until TV-PG appears, since tile highest rating you want tile child to walch is
TV-G.
4. Press tile right arrow bu/tnn lo move tile yellow highlight to tile
Statics field.
5. Press tile up or down arrow button to thole between Viewand Btocla. "File
stares tbr tile rating listed to tile letk and all higher ratings aulomatically
changes to Block (and B).
6. Press OK on tile remote lo r('tLlrn to the menu or exit the screen when you
are finished.
7. Select Lock Parer_t_l Cor_trots t_om tile Parental Control._ menu. Enter a
password, and if you have not already set your password, you will be
prompted to enter it again to confirm.
