    Using the TV/VCR Features On-Screen Displays - No Displays When you change channels, adjust volume, or use a VCR feature, on-screen displays appear to let you know the status of the TV/VCR. To Call Up On-Screen Displays 1. Press DISPLAY to display the function, channel number, time counter, date, time, and tape speed.

    Using theTV/VCR Features Closed Captions Closed captioning displays the sound of a program as words on the TV screen. It is useful for the deaf, hearing impaired, or anyone who wants to watch a program without sound. If you have turned dosed captioning on and it does not appear on the screen, it is not available on the channel you are watching.
