A
WARNING:
Before servicing, repairing, or
inspecting,
disengage
alI clutch levers and
stop engine. Wait until all moving parts have
come to a complete stop. Disconnect spark
plug wire and ground it against the engine to

Augers
The augers are secured to the spiral shaft with two
shear belts and hex lock nuts. See Figure 17. If you hit

nuts have been provided with the snow thrower. Refer
to Loose Parts on page 5. For future use, order kit
number OEM-710-0890.
IMPORTANT: NEVER replace the auger shear bolts with
standard hex bolts. Any damage to the auger gearbox
or other components, as a result of doing so, will NOT
be coved by your snow thrower's warranty.
ShavePlateandSkidShoes
The shave plate and skid shoes on the bottom of
the snow thrower are subject to wear. They should
be checked periodically and replaced when
necessary.

bolts, belleville washers and hex nuts which attach
them to the snow thrower. Reassemble new skid
shoes with the hardware earlier removed. Make
certain the skid shoes are adjusted to be level.
