operatethe unit. Releaseit to stop engineand blade.

Standbehindthe unitand pullthe recoilstarterropeto
startthe unit.
Mulch
Plug
Themulch plug is usedfor mulchingpurposes.Insteadof
collectingthe grassclippingsin a grass catcheror using
the sidedischargechute,some mowermodelshavethe
optionof recirculatingthe clippingsback to the lawn.This
is calledmulching.
Grass Catcher
Thegrass catcher,locatedat the rearof the mower,is
usedto bag the grassclippingsfor disposalat another
site.Oncethe bag isfull, ithasto be removedfrom the
mowerand emptiedbeforeanyfurther mowing.
Gas and Oil Fill-Up
1. Checkoil leveland add oil if necessary.Followengine
owner'smanualforthis.
2. Servicethe enginewith gasolineas instructedin the
engineowner'smanual.
