Start the stalled tractor and leave it running to
charge the battery.
6.
Disconnect the negative (-)jumper cable from the
tractor.
7.
Disconnect the other end of the negative (-) jumper
cable from the negative (-) post of the good battery.
8.
Disconnect the positive (+)jumper cable from the
positive (+) post of the good battery.
9.
Disconnect the other end of the positive (+) jumper
cable from the formerly dead battery.
SECTION 9: OFF-SEASON S TORAGE
Clean and lubricate the tractor as instructed on page 19
of this manual before storing for an extended period.

Drain fuel only into an approved
container outdoors, away from an open flame.
Allow engine to cool. Extinguish cigarettes,
cigars, pipes, and other sources of ignition prior
to draining fuel.
Follow the instructions in the service, storage &
specifications section of the engine manual for proper
engine care prior to storing your tractor.

Never store the machine or fuel
container indoors where there is an open
flame, spark or pilot light such as on water
heater, furnace, clothes dryer or other gas
appliance.
