TO SELECT HIFI MODE
Although
the TV/VCR records automatically
MTS
broadcasts in HIFI stereo sound, if you play in Hi-Fi
stereo tapes recorded in Hi-Fi stereo, you need to follow
the steps below.
Normally, [HIFI] should be selected for playback with
HIFI sound.
When you play non-HIFI tapes, TV/VCR plays auto-
matically in monaural.

Select"USER'S SET UP"
Press MENU button repeatedly
to point to "USER'S SET UP".
Then, press SELECT button.

Exit the VCR audio setting
Press MENU button repeatedly until the TV/VCR re-
turns to the TV mode.
TO SELECT
MONO
MODE
You can change the selection to [MoNo1 if you want to
listen to HIFI tapes in normal audio playback.
1) Press MENU button repeatedly to point to "USER'S
SET UP". Then, press SELECT button.
2) Press MENU button repeatedly to point' to "VCR
AUDIO".
3) Press CH • or •
button repeatedly until [MONO]
appears.
4) Press MENU button to return to the TV mode.
TO SELECT
STEREO,
SAP OR MONO
MODE
You must select the recording mode in STEREO, SAP
or MONO when you record broadcast. Refer to "MTS
RECORDING/MONITOR
MODE" on previous page.
When you play the tape on the TV/VCR later, it will be
in stereo, second audio or mono. Follow the steps below
for selecting the recording mode.
If you select second audio when second audio is not
available, the TV/VCR will record normal audio.
