Basic Setup
A language-selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Set up the camera as
described below (for information on resetting the clock or changing languages, see page 94).

Pressthe selector left or right to highlight the year, month, day, ,/,A_
hour, or minute and press up or down to change. To change
the order in which the year, month, and day are displayed, high-
light the date format and press the selector up or down.
2.2 PressMENU/OK A battery type message will be displayed; if the
type differs from the type inserted in the camera, use the setup
menu [] BATTERY TYPE option (pg. 94) to specify the correct
type.

Ifthe batteries are removed for an extended period, the camera clock and battery type will be reset and the lan-
guage-selection dialog will be displayed when tile camera is turned on. If the batteries are left in the camera for
about 10hours, the battery can be removed for about 24 hours without resetting the clock, language, mrbattery
type.
