About the controlson the refrigerator.
The temperature controls on your refrigerator have letters
and numbers. Initially set the refrigerator control at 5 and
the freezer control at C.
If you want colder or warmer temperatures, adjust the
refrigerator temperature first. When satisfied with that
setting, adjust the freezer temperature.

o Freezer Control
The freezer control moves a damper to change tile amount ofcold air that lllOVeS
fi'Oln tile freezer to the refrigerator COlnpartment.
Refrigerator Control
Tile refiigerator control maintains tile telnperamres throughout tile refiigerator.
Moving tile refiigerator control to 0FFstops cooling in both areas-refiigerator
and fl'eezer--but does not shut offpower to the refrigerator.
How To Test Temperatures
Use tile milk test fbr tile refi'igerator COlnpartment. Place a container of milk on tile top shelf
and check it a d W later. If the milk is too waxm or too cold, a(!just tile telnperamre control.
Use the ice cream test for tile freezer COlnpamnent. Place a container of ice cream in tile
center of the freezer and check it after a dW. If it's too hard or too soft, a(!just the
telnperature control.
After changingthecontrols,allow 24 hoursfor the refrigeratorto reachthe temperature youhaveset.
Food Storage
Tile tyi_e of packaging used and tile storage telnperatures will affect how long food will keep
in tile refrigerator.
New food storage guidelines are constantly being developed.
