1. Hold the outer spool with one hand.
2. Unscrew the bump knob by turning it counterclockwise.
3. Do not overtighten when reassembling.
4. Inspect the bolt inside the bump knob to ensure it moves freely.
5. Replace the bump knob if it is damaged.
