Push Clutch,Brake Pedal (Fig, 13) down firmly to unlock
Parking Brake and hold Clutch-Brake Pedal in Brake posi-
rich,
3 Move Gear Shif_ Lever to desired gear (Fig 13}
4 Release Clutch Brake Pedal SLOWLY to start movement
Vaddrive Contact Lever (Fig, 14) controls ground speed in
any of the selected gear ranges of the transaxle, Move Con-
trol Lever' forward to increase speed, move Control Lever
rearward to decrease speed. The Control Lever has a normal
range of movement, DO NOT EXCEED THIS NORMAL
RANGE OF MOVEMENT BY EXERTING EXCESSIVE
PRESSURE ON LEVER Varidrive Speed Control is
especially valuable when load is not uniform. When engine-
driven attachments ale overloaded, such as with heavy lawn
mowing or deep snow throwing, the ground speed may be
reduced with the Control Lever to relieve the load while
the attachment continues to operate at full speed,
NOTE: ALWAYS SELECT A GROUND TRAVEL SPEED
THAT WILL SUIT THE TERRAIN AND THE ATTACH _
MENT BEING USED

BRING TRACTOR TO COMPLETE STOP

NEVER PLACE YOUR HANDS OR FEET
IN OR UNDER ANY POWERED ATTACH-
MENT OR NEAR ANY MOVING PART
WHILE TRACTOR OR ANY POWERED
ATTACHMENT IS RUNNING.
DO NOT OPERATE THE MOWER WITH-
OUT EITHER THE ENTIRE GRASS CAT-
CHER, ON MOWERS SO EQUIPPED, OR
THE DEFLECTOR SHIELD IN PLACE.
NOTE: ALWAYS OPERATE ENGINE AT FULL ENGINE
RPM WHEN MOWING TO ASSURE BETTER MOWING PER,.

tion Raise Parking Brake Lever and hold in "ENGAGED"
position (Fig 12), Release Brake Pedal

tion (Fig. 14) and lower atl_achrnent with Attachment
Lift Lever (Fig 13)
4 Move Th=ottte Control to "S" position
5 Move Varidrive Control Lever rearward to "SLOW" posi-
tion
6, Turn Ignition Key to "OFF" position and remove Key,
