and cotter
pins are secure.

will

eliminate

residue

might
be damaging

engine

Shift

in neutral
position,
place Varidrive
Control
Lever in slow
position
(Fig. 17), Do not depress Clutch
Brake
Pedal.
Stop
the engine
and remove
Spark
Plug Wire
to prevent
accidental
starting.
Check
the ride
of the Primary
Belt
(Fig.
20) in the Variator
(Fig.
t8).
If the outer
edge of
the Primary
Belt
rides deeper
than
1/8"
inside
the edge
of the Variator,
adjustment
is required.
(See V-Belt
Ad-
justment,
page 9). If belt rides less than
1/8"
of the edge
of the
Variator,
belt
adjustment
tension
may
still
be
required,
(Refer
to VoBelt
Adjustment),
