Problem Cause Correction
Pump has following problems:
failure to producepressure,
erratic pressure, chattering, loss
of pressure, low water volume.
1. Low pressure spray tip installed.
2. Water inlet is blocked.
3. Inadequate water supply.
4. Inlet hose is kinked or leaking.
5. Clogged inlet hose strainer.
6. Water supply is over IO0°F.
7. High pressure hose is blocked or
leaks.
8. Gun leaks.
9. Spray tip is obstructed.
10. Pump is faulty.
1. Replacewith high pressure spray tip.
2. Clearinlet.
3. Provide adequatewater flow.
4. Straighten inlet hose, patch leak.
5. Checkand clean inlet hose strainer.
6. Provide cooler water supply.
7. Clearblocks in high pressure hose or
replace hose.
8. Replace gun.
9. Cleanspray tip.
10. Contact Sears service facility
Detergentfails to mix with spray. High pressure spray tip installed. Replacewith low pressure spray tip.
Engineruns goodat no-load but Engine speed is too slow. Move throttle control to FAST position. If
engine still "bogs down", contact Sears
"bogs" when load is added, service facility.
1. Dirty air cleaner.
2. Out of fuel.
3. Stale fuel.
4. Spark plug wire not connected to
spark plug.
5. Bad spark plug.
6. Water in fuel.
7. Excessively rich fuel mixture.
Enginewill not start;or starts and
runsrough.
1. Cleanor replace air cleaner.
2. Fill fuel tank.
3. Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.
4. Connectwire to spark plug.
5. Replace spark plug.
6. Drain fuel tank; fill with fresh fuel.
7. Contact Sears service facility.
Engineshuts downduring Out of fuel. Fill fuel tank.
