TROUBLESHOOTING

below except remedies that require

CAUSE
1. ON/OFF
switch

position.
2. Air filter dirty.
3. Fuel tank empty.
4. Stale fuel.
5. Water in fuel.
6. Spark plug wire is
disconnected.
7. Spark plug not firing.
8. Fuel not reaching
carburetor.
9. Air in fuel lines.
1. Choke lever in FULL

position.

REMEDY
1. Move ON/OFF switch to ON position,
2. Clean or replace
air filter.
3. Fill fuel tank.
4. Drain tank and carburetor
and refill
with fresh, clean fuel.
5. Drain tank and carburetor
and refill
tank with fresh gasoline.
6. Connect
wire to plug.
7. Install new spark
plug.
8. Check for dirty fuel filter; replace.
Check for kinked or split fuel line;
repair or replace.
9. Press primer bulb to remove air from
fuel lines.
1. Move choke lever to OFF CHOKE.

place spark plug.
Pull rope until
engine starts.
Replace with correct
spark plug.
