TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1.
1, Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
backside of the griff.
3. Replace bulb in holder and push bulb
2.
holder securely back into the hole in
the backside of the grill
4. Close hood.
INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS
Loose or damaged wiring may cause your
tractorte run poorly,stop running, or
prevent it from starting.
• Check wiring. See electdcat wiring
diagram in the Repair Parts section.
TO REPLACE FUSE
Replace with 20 amp automotive-type
plug-infuse. The fuse holder is located
behind the dash.

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS-
SEMBLY
1. Raise hood.
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3, Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
4. To replace, reverse above procedure.

TO ADJUSTTHROTTLE
CONTROL
CABLE
The throttle control
has boon presetat the
factory and adjuslmentshouldnot be
necessary. Check adjustmentas described
[celow before Ic_soningcable. If adjustment
=snecessary,proceedas follows:
VV'd;h e ngine notrunning, move throttle
control lever[TOm slew to choke
position. Slowly move lever tram choke
to fast position.
Check that holes "A" in govemor
control lever and hole in governor plate
line-up. If holes "A" are not aligned,
loosen damp screw and move throttle
cable until holes are aligned. Tighten
clamp screw securely.

TO ADJUST CARBURETOR
NOTE: The carbureter on thisengineis low
emission. It is equippedwithan idlefuel
adjustingneedle with a limitercap, which
allowssome adjustment withinthe limits
allowedbythe cap. Do notattemptto remove
the limiter cap. The limitercap cannotbe
removed withoutbreakingthe adjusting
needle.
The carburetor has been preset at the factory
and adjustment shouldnat be necessary.
However,minor adjustmentmay be required
to compensatefor differences in fuel,
temperature,altitudeor load. If the carburetor
does need adjustment,proceedas folk:_ws:
In general,turningidle mixture valve In
(clockwise) decreassa the supplyof fuelto
the engine giving a leaner fuel/air mixture.
Tuming the idle mixture valve out (counter-
dookwise) increases the supply of fuel to the
engine giving a dcher fuel/air mixture.
IMPORTANT: Damage to the needle valve
and the seat in carburetor may result if screw
is tumed in too tight.
PRELIMINARY SETFING -
1. Air cleaner assembly must be assembled
to the carburetor when making carburetor
adjustments.
2. Be sure the thro_e control cable is
adjusted properly (sea above).
FINAL SETI'ING-
1. Start engineand allow to warm for five
minutes. Make final adjustments with
engine running and shift/motion contrel
lever in neutral (N) position.
