Remove mower (See "TO REMOVE MOWER" in this
section of this manual).

Remove mower drive belt (See'3"O REPLACE MOWER
DRIVE BELT' in this section of this manual).
°
Pull mower blade drive belt towards rear of mower at
tensioning pulley.
Place a block between tension
bracket and spring bracket. Roll belt off tension pulley_
o
Roll belt off all other pulleys.

Use pliers to remove brake spring.

Remove cotter pin from brake rod

Park the tractoron levelsurface Engage parkingbrake,
Forassistance,there is a belt installationguide decal on
bottomside of leftfootrest.
o
Remove mower (See "TO REMOVE MOWER" in this
section of this manuaL)
o
Remove upper belt keeper.
o
Remove belt from stationary idler and clutching idler.
o
Pull belt slack toward rear of tractor.
Remove belt
upwards from transaxle pulley by deflecting belt keep..

o
Pull belt toward front of tractor and ramove downwards
from around engine pulley°
o
Install new belt by reversing above procedure.
IMPORTANT:
MAKE SURE UPPER BELT KEEPER IS
POSITIONED PROPERLY BETWEEN LOCATOR TABS_

Pull belt out from under brake rod and off mower.
•
To install belt. reverse above procedure.
Make sure
belt is enga,ned in all pulleys.
