Whenever
you turn on the VCR with the TV on, when a function
button (STOP, FF, etc.) is pressed, or when you change
channels, a 3 second OSD appears. The function
name and the channel number (if tuned) are displayed as a large overlay
for 1 second, then again for 2 seconds in a smaller overlay.

When the RECALL Button is pressed the sequence of overlays shown below will be displayed with what you have been viewing,
as long as the arrow appears in the lower right (for about the first 5 seconds). After the arrow disappears, the overlay you
have selected will remain on the screen until it is removed by the next press of the RECALL Button.

To see the calendar for this month and next month, press the PROG Button (on the Remote Control) while you are watching
"IV. The MENU screen will appear; press key 3. The calendar for the current month appears. Press key 1 to change between
this month and the next. Press the PROG Button to return to the screen.

If a blank section of the tape is encountered in the play mode or the channel you select has no broadcast, the TV screen will
change to a solid blue field.
The screen will remain blue until a recorded
signal is again detected or an active channel
is selected.
