Disconnectthe dislodgerfrom the beamweld bracketby remov-
ing the six hex screws.See Figure4.

Lift and slidethe cylinderup to the top of beamand intothe weld
brackets.See Figure6.

Disconnectthe log cradlebracketon the controlvalveside of the
beam.See Figure5.

Attachthe dislodgeroverthe wedgeassemblyand secureit to the
weld bracketswith the previouslyremovedhardware.See Figure
6.
NOTE:Oncethe six hexscrewsare tightened,there may be a slight
gap betweenthe dislodgerand theweld brackets.This gap is normal.

Reattachthe log cradleto the sideof the beamwith the control
valve,aligningtheends of thecradlewith the beamflanges.
7.
Rollthe log splitteroff the bottomof thecrate.
SET-UP
Gas and Oil Fill=Up
Servicetheenginewith gasolineand oil as instructed below.Readthe
i
Useextremecarewhen handlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremely
flammableand thevaporsare explosive.Neverfuel the machine
indoorsor whilethe engineis hotor running.

NOTE:Yourlog splittermay be shippedwith motoroil in the engine.
You MUSTcheckthe oil levelbeforeoperating.Becareful notto
overfill.Gasolinecan be addedto the enginewhenthe log splitteris
in eitherthe horizontalor verticalposition.However, t hereare less
obstructionswhenthe splitteris in the verticalposition.

Removeoil fill dipstick.
Checkthe oil level makingcertain notto rub thedipstickalong the
insidewalls of the oil fill tube. This wouldresultin a false dipstick
reading.Refillto the FULLmark on the dipstick,if necessary.
Replacethe dipstickand tighten.
