• The chain stretches during use, especially when
• new.Checktension periodically as follows:
-each timethesawisused;
-morefrequenLiff whenthechainis new;,
-as the chainwarmsup tonormaloperating
temperature.
o Chain tension is correct when the chain can be
liftedabout1/8"from the GuideBarat a point nearthe
middle ofthebarandwillmovefreely aroundthebar.
• it is recommended that the saw be turnedupside
down for chain tensioning,
o Chaintensioningprocedure:
NOTE: Make surethebarmounting n uts are nomore than
t_nger t ight.
