You can shoot zoomed images using the combined digital and
optical zooms.
oStills: zoom up to approximately 12 times

OThe combined digital and optical zoom setting will d isplay in _"

OWhen you press the zoom lever toward E43 the zoom stops
when the lens reaches the maximum optical telephoto set-
ting (when shooting still images),
Press the zoom lever toward E4)3 again to activate the digitat
zoom and further zoom the image digitally.
OPress the zoom lever toward [] to zoom out.
Images become coarser the more they are digitally zoomed.
